What Can I Do To Help?
The Losses Keep Mounting
More than $8.4 billion a year is lost to Construction Industry Tax Fraud! Watch the losses climb, from Jan. 1, 2017 to now.
YOU CAN STAND UP TO TAX FRAUD:
Support Tax Fraud Days of Action, April 14 – April 18, 2020
In the U.S. and Canada
Call your local, state or provincial representatives and ask them to STAND UP TO TAX FRAUD.
Ask them what they will do to protect our community, working people and their families.
Ask them to pledge to strengthen employment law enforcement.
Ask them to help recover the billions in lost tax revenue.
That is money that can help build schools and reduce class sizes, improve infrastructure, increase funding for first responders, and help veterans without adding anything more to the deficit.
In the U.S.
Call your Congressional representative and U.S. Senators and tell them you want an increase in funding for the IRS and for U.S. Department of Labor wage and hour enforcement.
Call your state representatives and tell them that you want more funding for your state department of revenue and employment law enforcement.
Call your state attorney general and district attorney and ask what they are doing to protect workers and honest construction contractors.
Call your Member of Parliament, member of the provincial legislature and your municipal representative.
Tell them you want our laws strengthened against people who commit tax fraud in the construction industry.
Tell them you want a government and elected officials that stand up against people who cheat in the construction industry.
Tell them that you want their support to invest more funding for tax fraud investigations and enforcement.
